As you probably have noticed, all videos can have two types of sources: Full Links and Trailers! You can see a full list of supporting websites over here. This guide will show you how a trailer can be added to a video. To start, you must click on the "Trailer" tab when you select the "Add a source to this video" option in the watch page. Then, you will see a field where you can add your trailer link. There are two types of trailers that you can add:

• YouTube Trailers: YouTube trailers are found Only through youtube.com. Just click on the "Search for a YouTube Trailer" button in the trailer tab to start serching for a trailer on youtube. This button will automatically do the search for you based on the title of the video on MotionEmpire. You can also search manually for the movie name + "HD trailer" (For example "Twilight HD Trailer") on youtube and find a suitable result that has a good quality. Then add the youtube link to the trailer field and submit your trailer! its as easy as that. It is important to remember that all the trailers added from YouTube must have the "embedding option" enabled in order to be accepted by MotionEmpire. If a video has "Embedding disabled by request", it will not be accepted into the system.
• HD Trailers from the official website: HD trailers are high definition trailers that are extracted from the official movie website. In order to find the URL to a HD trailer, you must search for the official movie website through google, and then find the URL of the trailer using the Video DownloadHelper which is an extension for Mozilla Firefox. Note that the easiest way to find the trailer URL is by using firefox and DownloadHelper together. Just go to the page that the trailer will play on the official website. The download helper icon will start spinning which indicates that the URL for the trailer has been found. Click on the icon and find the URL. After you have the URL, just enter it into the trailer field and click on submit. HD trailers always have a higher quality than YouTube trailers and they are a bit harder to find.

Trailers can only consist of 1 part. Also, You cannot add a trailer and a full link both at the same time.

Trailer Application

MotionEmpire has a goal of attaching a trailer to ALL movies it has in its database. This includes the videos in the following channels: Movies, Asian Movies and Bollywood Movies. For these channels it is possible for find 99% of all trailers. Users that are level 4 or higher can use the Trailer Application to browse all the movies in these three channels that do not have a trailer and try to find/add a trailer via the official website or youtube.

Now you may ask your self what it the benefit of having access to the Trailer Application? Well the answer is simple: Finding trailers on youtube or the official movie website is incredibly easy (in most cases) and it can increase the speed at which you accumulate points! All you have to do is to click on the "Search for a YouTube Trailer" button and select the appropriate trailer that appears in the search results of YouTube.
