The point system: How it works and how can you earn points?
The MotionEmpire point system has been designed to rate a user's performance on a monthly basis. This allows the community to have a friendly competition for monthly prizes. It factors a variety of activities and grants users a certain point for each activity. This is the table of points/activity:

| Video Flagging | 30 points for each report |
| Friend Referrals | 25 points for each unique referral |
| Video Commenting | 25 points for each comment |
| Video Rating | 25 points for each rating |
| Watching Videos | 1 point for each view |
On the first day of the month all the users will start at zero points. The fact that the point system works on a monthly basis ensures that all users have the ability to achieve a decent ranking regardless of their registration date. The prizes will also be awarded on monthly basis. All prizes will be given in MotionEmpire dollars which can be used to purchase merchandise from the MotionEmpire Gift-Shop.
Here are some notes to remember about the point system:
- It's on a Monthly basis: at the beginning of the month everyone's points are set to zero and prizes are awarded for last months top users. Visit the monthly prize page to view this months prizes.
- It's the only way to increase your user level: The only way you can move up the MotionEmpire user level ladder is to achieve a certain status at the end of the month to be promoted. Visit the user level increase page for more details on how the system works.
- It's for non-admin users only: MotionEmpire has a lot of Administrators/Moderators who work on the community for long hours. If they were supposed to achieve points for their activities, it would be extremely difficult for regular users to emerge in the monthly point leaderboard. Therefore in order to make it a fair competition, none of the Administrators/Moderators will achieve points towards their point system ranking.
- It may have some delays: When you perform certain activities on MotionEmpire, the points regarding those activities may go on hold for a couple of days before they get credited to your account. Visit the point delay guide for more details.
- It's strictly monitored: Any abusive activity from a user to sabotage the monthly point ranking system will result in the disqualification of that user and if repeated, may be completely banned from the MotionEmpire community. - It's recorded for 8 months: All users can view their point system ranking and details for the last 8 months.
